She was hailed as \u201cperfection\u201d by Richard Ouzounian of <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestar.com\/\">The Toronto Star<\/a><\/em>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xtra.ca\/\">Xtra<\/a> says, that she is \u201cthe kind of performer who can only sound but fabulous\u201d and Gary Smith from the <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thespec.com\/\">Hamilton Spectator<\/a><\/em> captures her beautifully saying, \u201cSharron Matthews is like a champagne cocktail&#8230;.one with extra fizz.\u201d According to TWISI\u2019s tag count, I have mentioned Sharron Matthews on this blog at least eighteen times in the past two years which reflects the frequency of her performance schedule as she hops from Cabarets to musicals, plays and fundraisers. In the past five years Sharron Matthews has taken Toronto by storm, capturing the heart of hundreds of loyal party-going fans, inspiring at least two generations of musical theatre performers and wowing everyone with her divine, powerful voice and infectiously delicious stage presence. Toronto seems to be Matthews\u2019 oyster. There are few performers&nbsp;so universally beloved and highly respected and even fewer who have earned the status of Canadian Musical Theatre Superstar. With Toronto\u2019s Cabaret Scene in the palm of her hand, it is not surprising that Sharron Matthews is gearing up to embark on a new adventure for World Domination.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">On June 5th and 6th Sharron Matthews is going to be making her New York Cabaret debut at the world famous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.joespub.com\/component\/option,com_shows\/task,view\/Itemid,40\/id,5106\">Joe\u2019s Pub<\/a>. <em>Newsweek<\/em> calls the club, \u201cone of the country\u2019s best small stages.\u201d If there is one thing that I have been saying since the first time I heard Sharron Matthews sing it&nbsp;is that she gives Broadway calibre performances and I am certain that New York isn\u2019t going to know what hit it when she bursts out onstage looking fabulous, rocking her songs and brimming with \u2018tude.
